Siarter Iaith

Ysgol Gymraeg y Fenni is incredibly proud to support the Welsh Government’s vision of reaching a million Welsh speakers by 2050.  We are also committed to the aims and objectives of the Welsh Charter (Siarter Iaith) and have been accredited Silver School status.

The main purpose of the charter is to encourage children to speak Welsh more often in social situations. The Welsh Government are responsible for leading the Charter, and they aim to inspire our children and young people to use Welsh in every aspect of their lives.

Every member of staff is committed to the aim of ensuring that all of our children have opportunities to develop into confident bilingual citizens who are proud of their Welsh heritage and nationality.

The ‘Criw Cymraeg’ is a group of enthusiastic pupils that work with Miss Golding-Hann to ensure that we achieve our goal of being awarded the Gold Language Charter accreditation.
