Volunteers
We welcome the involvement of volunteers in school and we value their skills, enthusiasm and commitment. Volunteers support school trips and visits, help with specific events, listen to children read or offer help in our garden and outdoor area.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Enhanced check is carried out for all volunteers in school, and we ask all volunteers to provide us with the names of two people that can provide character references. All volunteers at Ysgol y Fenni are also expected to attend Safeguarding training and complete a ‘Volunteering Agreement’. This agreement sets out our guidelines regarding confidentiality, commitment, health and safety, safeguarding, child protection and communication.
